Why I've started this blog
·1 min read
I'm not a developer. I work in supply chain. But with the onset of AI, I've found myself building software, and it's been an interesting journey. I am learning so many new things every day.
This is where I'm going to write it down. I want a record of what I worked on and what I learned. And some day, maybe someone else will stumble on this and find it interesting or useful.
The challenges
AI is reshaping the workplace quickly, and there's a lot to work through:
- Learning how to use it, and for me, learning to build with it
- Getting people to actually adopt it
- Doing all of this alongside a full-time job
- Long-term viability, AI slop, and drift
- The bigger questions. What does the future look like with AI, and how do we make sure it remains a force for good?
Where my focus is right now
Mostly I'm interested in how AI can enhance and amplify our work. Help us do better work.
Specifically, I want to make people's jobs easier. Take the boring, tedious busywork off their hands. Address the long-standing challenges that frustrate them with simple, modern solutions: redesigned processes and modern systems.
The goal is people who are more productive, happier, and better utilized at work.
