AI Question Fatigue
·1 min read
It's amazing how much AI has amplified how much we can work on at one time. I can be working on 15 different projects all at once.
But one thing I've noticed is how mentally draining it can be to go from session to session, read what the session is working on, re-orient myself with the problems and the work that's being performed, and then answer a question.
Trying to make good decisions while constantly shifting gears from topic to topic is exhausting.
Sessions that talk to each other
Anthropic launched a new feature in Claude Code where sessions can communicate with one another. It came out in early August.
This is huge because it helps with orchestration. I've started having one session act as a main orchestrator that coordinates and communicates with the other sessions. It's a lot like how a single session used to work with sub-agents: fire them up, assign them, and coordinate all of their work. Except this is at a new level. I have probably 30 sessions going right now, all reporting in to one main session. That one session is feeding me questions and keeping all of the other sessions going.
I just started having the main orchestration session create and maintain a simple web page that has all open questions for me and can be expanded to give me more context about each question.
These do seem to help but I'm curious if other people are also experiencing "question fatigue" and what they are doing about it.
